Work / Re: The Guardian Legend: Shadow of Naju

it is an interesting game. using copyrighted enemies however is not wise. if nintendo finds out that there is metroid enemies here, they might sue. i am not sure about how protective nintendo is however. enemies from the final fantasy games is more likely to get attention. then there is bugs, specially in the pathing. i often have to shoot 2 blocks to get through one.  the amount of stuff that increase firing rate is a bit low. difficulties should possibly be tweaked but i am not sure how. maybe a bit more shots on easy. corridor 2 really freaked me out. the jump scares during the boss battle scared me so much that i could not continue playing after beating it.

romhacking can do a lot of stuff. i saw one rom hack that changed almost an entire game. i have also seen NES hacks that replace the main character with a different one. i have even seen some that replace level graphics. i believe that what i suggested can be done but i do not have the skills to do it myself.

my idea is this: more corridors, more labyrinths and more powerups while still retaining the story. one idea is to move some of the spinning enemies into the new corridors as fighting them there is easier. one idea is to unlock an extra labyrinth per key next to those already cleared.(completing corridor 2 unlocks 2 new zones in addition to the zone with corridor 3 as there is 2 zones containing corridor 2 and corridor 11.) that would unlock corridor 22, 23, 31 and 32 as the optional corridors is ten numbers above the mandatory and 21 is the final corridor. other ideas is to increase the number of guns and shields. new music for the new corridors would also be useful and also new graphics. i can test stuff out but i can not edit roms myself. i can however lead the project.

Rom Hacks, MODs, Plugins / Re: Game genie Pal version

while it is true that codes are different in different regions there should be ways to find the european codes by emulating a european rom. you just need to find an emulator that can find out what the codes are.

at least one of those projects seem interesting. i would recommend a difficulty setting though as that enables players to chose how difficult they want it to be.

nestopis is possible to use but i learn nothing from video tutorials. i need text based tutorials.

interesting article. the music made the experience better. it really felt like i was playing the game while reading the article. you should perhaps explain how you opened each seal.

interesting article. i personally had no trouble with the first level. think i lost interest after i completed it though and i only touched the game after i hurt my left foot which left me unable to use it for a week, giving me plenty of time to play the game.(had to stay home from school.)

i am unable to figure out how to get that working. i do prefer that games is easy as i do not enjoy a challenge.

i got the game for Christmas long ago i believe but i played it very little until i hurt my foot back when i just had the first nintendo. i still have both that and the game however. i really struggled with getting corridor 4 opened as i did not understand english well enough back then.

what i would want is a password where the main character have lots of health, lots of chips, maximum offense and defense with no corridors completed and preferably all keys.
