Title: Hello, I'm Rooks37! (Intoduction post)
Post by: Rooks37 on February 28, 2010, 02:32:42 AM
Hello I'm Rooks37. Being a TGL fan and role-player I was caught quite by surprise that there was a domain and forum registered under it's name. So I thought I figured it would be my duty as a fan to poke my head in here and say hello. I've taken a quick look around, and with the way I scoured the internet for TGL resources, I was surprised that a place like this went under my radar for this long. >_<;

Anyway, as I have said, I do role-play The Guardian Legend characters. One of them is Miria, and the other is an original character based off of the fanon name for Miria, Alyssa.

Miria's RP Journal: http://guardianofearth.livejournal.com/ (http://guardianofearth.livejournal.com/)

Alyssa's RP Journal: http://hrtlssguardian.livejournal.com/ (http://hrtlssguardian.livejournal.com/)

I've already seen that I'm apparently not the only one who thought the Miria and PSU mixed as well, but I play on the X-Box 360 servers (See attached picture).

Welcome! I registred this domain just a few months ago :redlander: and the site exist for around 2 months only.
I see this journals related to TGL fanatism.
Can you send them a note about http://theguardianlegend.com  to them?

:D{You mean it is your journals???
Wow thanks! BTW TGL shrine doesn't work at all. I even not know how it did look like and what was there. Since I m just tired to wait a sequel I decide to start do something to make it happen!

Yep, both journals belong to me.  ;)

But, yeah. It is kind of sad when the site went down. It was my first guide to The Guardian Legend when I had just learned of the game.  :-[  In away, my role-play journals were a way for me to keep the interest for The Guardian Legend going for me.

As far as a sequel goes, I am much more for remaking the first game before going on to making a sequel because a firm foundation for what the TGL universe is needs to be established before anything else.

You mean a classic game remake with a better gfx and just little gameplay changes?
Well I doubt we going to do that but! My idea is that the open source project could be done in a way with many alternatives and so someone could just create a close to original game.
My personal dream is to have a project with pretty open possibilities to create alternative stories. Also to have a different heroes and they should be portable between the stories. Wouldn't it be awesome to play favorite story with other character and it means some other weapons :bluelander:

Actually, that isn't a bad idea considering just how many potential takes on the story there could be. This way, everyone can have their own version of the legend.

Making few heroes with several mods each one of them would be a big deal! It's common thing when the SHMUP game has few planes to choose from.
Well actually the same stuff as with many FPS counter strike like games. I just realized I talk about mods of the game  :redlander:{LOL)
So how possible is that making such a stuff with MMF?
