Title: New TGL vet found awesome site
Post by: Daegda on January 16, 2013, 09:54:19 PM
Hello I am Eddie Screen name Daegda I have been playing this game for around 20 years and the first time I ever beat it was around 13 years ago I have been playing ever since sometimes with cheats to see bosses I had such problems on become nothing but fodder. . . harder challenges like the shooter mode in which I only ever get to the wasteland corridors its the red clawbots corridor that always tends to get me cause of them jumping lazer guys i can never get up past those things or at least I haven't tried in a good 7 years or the all JJJJJJ password to try the red Medusa ball mini boss or recently exploring the "OUTLANDS" all in all the reason I came here was during preparation to do a LP of this epic classic on youtube I came across the secret edition 3.0 and was amazed at the new content so to speak I get to experience this game in a way I haven't been able to in over 20 years it is a rare treat so I shall share my experience with it here and see if I cannot conquer TGL-SE I consider myself a vet of this game since I can easily in the course of like 2 hours have this game annihilated with all weapons upgraded 4000 chips every corridor and mini boss beat and easily dispatch even the red grimgrin anymore

so aside from the wall of text HELLO ^_^ and I am new to this forum PEACE  :bluelanderbig:

As of right now at 2:57 AM EST USA I have beaten both "sirens as I call them" in the standard area and the corridor 1 boss I have beaten corridor 11 I think it is the one with the lime green fleepa my color is messed up so I don't know which is was but I beat him I am in the second area of the water terrain and I saw the "RED FLEEPA" HOLY FREAKING GOD I AM AFRAID . . . but I think I will leave that for a moment as of right now I am fighting the red crab siren boss and I am doing what I used to do as a kid play with him, hear me out I loved in old RPG games where you can sit back and gain levels well. . what I used to do, what I am doing now is killing his little projectiles he shoots out to gain score so I can gain a lil more life to prepare right now I have a life bar of 11 chips at 100  so thats as far as I am I am a little worried about the corridors cause 11 had 1 too many dragging eye monsters and I have to pull out the saber to deal with them . . . normally the main firing will do the trick but not with this one

Just hope the sirens doesn't end up summoning a Siren (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siren); which  could lead to a (un)dramatic ****hfight between her and Miria, hehehe

Could be an interesting "mini boss" fight

I also used this as a kid and the first time I beat the game I think I had 33 health. But later times on I memorize the game pretty well so I even did not had to grind the scores and could beat the game.

Well for the original I also do not need it but . . .  with the prospect of this mod . . . I have only seen a few things from this among them is the orange optomon and the red grimgrin as a mini boss O_o so I figuring I am gonna need as much life as I can get ^_^

Hello Daegda
YOU ARE HARDCORE!

I'm not. I'll be honest, I haven't played TGL in a while. I started playing the last remix but I never went far. I guess I'm not so much into hard games. I hope you're going to like what you find there!

I am finding it quite refreshing especially since I was 2 when this game originally came out and now after so many years to have a fun new way to enjoy it all over again is quite nostalgic
