I like to use the fireball (also known as the crusher [for a good reason]), but you use the gun more often than anything else! Sometimes I even forget that I have special weapons to choose from! lol

I know the Saber isn't always 100% practical "Though it does kick a lot of ass if you know when to use it on the right bosses!" But I am a sword nerd, and I stick to my favorite weapon all the way :-p plus, I have beaten the game on almost purely the Saber, and of course the one item that just clears the screen "Can't remember it's exact name." Between the 2, it is possible, but the saber can be challenging to use on some bosses.

The saber is pretty good, specially against the mini-bosses that don't move much (most of them actually).

I love it's ability to do consistant damage in a short time. The duel sabers are wonderful when you are trying to get from point A to point B quickly without being overwhelmed by enemies. It has helped a lot in Secrets for me.

Area Blaster made corridors easier on me. Just let em fly then save the rest of your chips for boss or tight spot.

After getting a functional Emulator, I found that I used the repeller way more in fast corridors and bossess, especially after an upgrade since it spun crazy fast, then got huge. Dual swords are useful against destroyable bullets, as is the bullet shield, but yes, the fire ball devastates most enemies.

The Hyper Laser was my favorite because it just seemed so cool when I first got it. The fact that it was only useable in flight made it seem more extrordinary. Of course, years later, turns out it wasn't that hot agains most bosses

Technically, the Laser is only all that useful as a defence weapon and a useful "tit-for-tat" weapon against Clawbow
