Hello All,

I was very happy to find this forum.  I first received Guardian Legend as a gift when I was 13 in 1989 and was hooked right away.  TGL had a big impact on my life.  It's hard to explain what I mean, but the game taught me map-making skills and coordination.  I still believe to this day that the game was ahead of it's time.  The music was placed beautifully with the proper areas and corridors.  I even had the music in my head well into college and beyond.  It had been years since I had played and only recently discovered the full version on www.nintendo8.com.  I have been playing and even taught my five year old son how to play.  In my opinion, this game beats out any of the modern day games.  I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this forum.  Thanks.

P.S.  I still feel like red lander was the best power-up to find.

Hey welcome!
Red lander of course :redlander:. It's like whole level up. More chips cause more special weapons shots and upgrade main laser and buy some items in "shops".

and yes tgl is better then any modern game around. at least until someone says "hey this will kick ass as a remake." and blow the original game out of the water

Perhaps it helped me with my route planning skills. No one understands the importance of this as everyone uses GPS navigators those days... I still stack some maps ... just in case!

Let's take it easy.

How to permalink a certain message?

Anyway, just posting another (hopefully) improved version with less black border and more black eyes.

Vector-based sprites anyone?

I wonder if landers are somewhat ancestors or descendants of locorocos.

Sorry for the missing links.
Don't you know locoroco? I thought it was a well known game, there once was a flash demo around.

Quote..the LocoRoco and their friends, the Mui Mui, help grow vegetation and look after nature...

Landers seems to be more evolved. At least they have thingies that could be hands... or feet...  ???
