There aren't any alternate palettes built into the game.  You can change the palettes manually by hex editing the palette entries in the ROM (a series of 3-color entries starting at 0x1731A), or you can change what palettes get loaded in the level-loading routines.

My TGL color hack works by overwriting the hero color with a value from RAM every time the palettes are updated.

I trying to edit a pallete. By far it's OK but I played only few levels through so not sure how would things look further.
However hack can add a possibility. Not enough of the hero only.

Is there any alternative palletes for TGL? Of course the original pallete is great but playing a modified version with other pallete makes sense,

Check out Recca. It's very hardcore NES SHMUP with unique music.

not all the games. Some games I play with no save state. For example I tried to play Recca(NES SHMUP) with no save states after I finished it with save states.

I agree.  Very fresh to play a new version of the game that I haven't memorized.  I finally beat the squid boss and made it to the Forest Area.  But the corridors are killing me without any shields.  I made it to the Clawbot once but didn't last.  Will try to take him down again tomorrow.  This hack is a lot of fun!

Oh, and no save states of course .  At least not to redo anything.  I do use a save state at the end of the day so I don't have to write a password down.

That's hardcore!
