Audio / My Little Big Planet TGL video page.

I apologize for the poor quality, and the kids, but I don't exactly have any other way at the moment to capture game play. If anyone is knowledgeable on how I can set my PS3 up to my comp, and what software to use "Preferably as free/cheap as possible, I will make better quality videos for the site.

So the only origin I found of this name is of Celtic/Irish origin, which made a bit of sense seeing it our lovely protagonist is a red "Or brownish red" blue-eyed woman. Now, the part that doesn't make sense? Mirin is only used as a male's name from my understanding. The word that stuck out the most in my findings was "genius." The whole reason I did the research in the first place was to find common ground on a name for an idea to help name a new female protagonist in another forum. As for that forum, which I will post there later, I think a fitting name would be one that actually means "guardian" in some way. As far as I know so far, Mirin is NOT a female name, and the name hasn't popped up in the U.S.A. in over 100 years according to one site. Anyone found anything else on the name? I am very interested in doing a more thorough search to find out why someone named the guardian the name they did. That alone would be useful info. in developing a personality for a new guardian legend, since I am sure that the developers never really gave Mirin a personality besides the aspiration to destroy Naju. In fact, we as the fans could give her one, if we could all vote and agree on it. I will do more research on the name itself, and maybe make some poles on it to see how everyone else sees Mirin. It may not be important TGL facts, but it will be something fun for us to do as fans.

The Guardian Legend / Look into the past for info...

Shot in the dark I am sure, but does Guardic Gaiden have any kind of story whatsoever to contribute to any of the mysteries from The Guardian Legend? I know someone here has looked into it, just haven't seen any posts on it.

http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/guardian-legend-original-soundtrack

That is the link of a site that offers music from popular games and series without the B.S. Should offer every track for everyone wanting the Original Sound Track. Hope someone gets some enjoyment from it!

TGL is just a couple years younger than myself, and upon playing it, it is the very first Action Role Playing Game that ever existed in my world. Can anyone prove or disprove me? We could actually use the knowledge to help the cause, because if it actually is the first Action RPG, that is something that could be brought up when others bring up popular Action RPG's "Secret of Mana series e.g." What do the rest of you know about the history of Action RPG's?

I just played through the first level, and let me say HOLY SHIT! Definitely not for the faint of heart, or anyone that is not a seasoned veteran of the game. The first level alone has me addicted. Took me a few tries to get to the computer room, but I did get there. The boss IMO seems more aggressive in the beginning with many more "Chips?" flying your way, and the mass of added ships seem to take the show too. Also, it may just be me, but I remember 8 eyes when it slows to the boss, not 6, but I could be wrong or I could have miscounted. Also, the blue parts seemed different in the background scenery wise but I also could be wrong "I have been drinking a bit :-p" If you want to play the game in a new light, this is definitely the way to go. I noticed the recolor to red in the title screen, and how it actually said TGL - Secret. I plan on trying to beat this, but as I said, it is for seasoned vets!

Is it me, or does it seem that like many NES games, The Guardian herself has many different images? The only 2 in game ones that come to mind to even try to comprehend what her true concept is, is that of her sprite, and the ending credits picture which I like to compare similarly as Samus in her zero suit. I think I may try to make my own concept art of the guardian from my own perspective, which I will gladly share with you all. I haven't been in the drawing game for a while, but she is one project I have considered doing since before I reached my teen years. Drew many different inspired drawings, but nothing of the real thing. Hopefully the critics here aren't too harsh :-p

As you all probably don't know since I have only been on here a few hours now, I am looking for other TGL fans to help me on my levels on Little Big Planet. I would definitely appreciate composers, but I will take programmers too. I have a demo for Area 0 "I think that is the first level, correct me if I am wrong please." and I am also working on a TGL inspired arena, where I have a single rapid shot gun, and duel light sabres operational so far, and also a power upgrade for the gun "Gives you larger bullets for 30 seconds to have a much higher rate for causing damage." The arena's gameplay will be much like that of TGL, without the screen to screen changes of course, but much like the plains in the main playing area outside the computer room. The only enemies I have constructed so far are similar to the black discs with the red and blue stripes "Sorry, I don't really know many names from the game, I have just mainly played it through many times, and listened to the music." With similar mannerisms. I also made variations of them that move randomly and green ones that shoot rapidly as they spin out of control with laser sabres that also damage themselves due to their reckless behavior. Anyways, my PSN is Alastor13Belmont. Just send a message saying "TGL" so I know why you are leaving a friend request. You don't have to play Little Big Planet to add me though, I am always accepting of new friends! Oh! Also, I have Area 0 music composed about as good as I am going to get it. Definitely sounds spot on in my opinion. Please check out my TGL area 0 demo if you play the game! I am the first to make one out of the 7,000,000+ levels created, and that is just sad. Thanks everybody!

Hello Everyone, You can just call me Al. I have been playing The Guardian Legend as far back as I can remember. I am 26 now and I believe I played it for the first time in 1989 at the age of 3. I never could get much further than the computer room at that age, but I mainly played it for my obsession with the Area 0 "I think that is what it is called, been a while. correct me if I am wrong." Music. Anyways, I have been surfing youtube.com in search of remixes, and found out about this site. I am actually working on a couple of projects on Little Big Planet if anyone plays, including an Area 0 demo, and a TGL inspired battle arena, where I have a single shot blaster, and duel laser swords so far. If anyone wants to add me on the PSN, my name is Alastor13Belmont. I could definitely use some help with my computer room music. I have it close, but I can't seem to get it just right.  :bluelander:  Send me a friend request and just add TGL to the message. BTW, if I remember correctly, try typing that in on the password screen on the game lol. Happy playing!
