i really feel that a remake on the same format as the original would be awesome... instead of 3-d and new age expensive feeling.. it wouldbe cool to have a NES or even an SNESfeeling to the game.. just a thought

i think its a pretty solid game.. and yo even get exp to earn stronger guns.. kind of lame though that every time you are hit your gun weakens..

Check out Imperium for SNES.. very cool game.. I never heard of it before..

gradius 5 switchs between tons of views.. its a 2-d shooter on a 3-d plane, pretty cool

In games like Gradius and many others, you go left to right on a horizontal plane when flying and blasting away..
In the game TGL, you progress from bottom to top when flying..
In Life force you do both..

just played through and beat Salamander (gradius 2) for the NES
got 298,760.. didnt die till the escape in the last level..

yeah i love gradius three.. one of the few games i actually own for my snes.. i believe they got the weapon and option system
down almost perfect on 3..
although the ability to aim your options as you pleasee on number 5 is pretty groovy..
i dont believe i have played number 4 now that i think about it.. hmm
better go check it out

i love gradius through out the years.. number 5 for the ps2 is a trip, love it!

I love gradius and life force.. the art always reminded me of some of TGL

so i have been teaching myself the themes from this game on my keyboard and plan on making some new versions.. for starters im trying to make some all piano versions.. especially certain flying scenes, that have some very awesome music..
maybe they could be put to good use
