I think Guardian Legend way better than Crisis Force or Gun-Nac! It's my personal opinion. While Crisis Force and Gun Nac just average senjoyable the Guardian Legend has something unique.

Probably Guardian Legend it is impossible to carry to pure Shoot em up.
And the list probably only to 1993.

Probably the list based on games author played but not the votes for all those games from at least 1000 gamers.

It's pretty hard to make such list. Maybe SHMUPS.com has one? There is tons of SHMUPS . To have a really good list need votes of 10000 people
