When I thought about transforming at any time I was thinking of using the ability to leave the planet and go to another... I then thought of using the transformation to solve puzzles like maybe there's a huge gap in the way and you need to transform to get across... You could also fight enemies while crossing the gaps... Altering the directions of these types of flight patterns also seemed quite cool (flying the classic up as well as: left, right, and even down). Flight at any time could actually be useful for puzzle solving ideas in my opinion! So I vote yes!

Or finding a place to land as well. But this is not thought up to the final. I not sure how would the fly to sky works. I don't think each coordinate will have enemies patterns and will there be enemies in skyies.
This also seems to give a multilayer levels. The areas over underground areas can also be walkable areas, and some roofs can be walkable areas even with (secrets?).

I fully endorse this.

I have so many mixed feelings about this, that I cannot vote. In my opinion, it would all be based on the game itself, and whether "As cool as the idea is." or not the concept called for it. TGL isn't exactly Linear-based, but at the same time it may as well be. You have to go in a certain order corridor to corridor, area to area, but the game kind of makes you feel like you aren't obligated to follow a linear track due to the ability to explore more and more, and choose which directions you feel like going at any given time. Being on Naju "Think that is how you spell it." and being able to take flight, and fight many of the enemies that may be airborne around it would be a bitchin' addition if they made the game, but at the same time, it may completely be out of the spirit of the norm. To be honest, I wouldn't mind playing a complete remodel of the original, but your idea sounds cool too. Maybe even make it where you had to go into open space to reach new areas of Naju to explore. Not exactly corridors, but just closing a gap between point A and point B. To hold the spirit of the original game, I would definitely make it somewhat of a challenge to do so, and make sure that players without proper experience may find it possible, but not such a great idea. I mean actual in-game experience though, if a player that is not yet at a recommended level to travel through it, it could pose as a challenge for gamers whom have mastered the game. Almost like these people who do the TAS or "Tool Assisted Speedruns." without the tools. I know I probably don't make a whole lot of sense, but if you understand a shred of anything I have written, than kudos. Honestly though, I just hope that if they ever bring back TGL, they will get the original developer's opinions at least if not their help.
