Completed Corridor 1 - now that wasn't too bad. anything else playable at the moment?

At the moment, there are only two Corridors and Maze Area 1

Might I suggest you move to a tile-based system for your backgrounds as well as your character sprites?  The gameplay you're showing is quite compelling, but the clash between the 8-bit, tile-based sprites and the higher-res, somewhat bland backgrounds is really jarring for me.

Mixing of different graphic styles temporary. Little by little we are improving all the elements of the game, one by one.

I downloaded the launcher, and installed the required software. However when I try to update the game, I get a Socket Error #10060 'Connection timed out.' I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit with Bitdefender antivirus. I have tried turning the firewall off, still the launcher will not connect.

The error occurs at the stage of downloading files or clearing folders?
It would be nice to see a screenshot

Appears to be happening during clearing folders. Here's a screenshot. http://oi58.tinypic.com/3309vdj.jpg

We have already encountered this problem - that is blocking access to the Internet on your PC: a firewall, anti-virus, some program or service.
We can not help to fix it, because on different computers can be installed different software.
But I can give a link to the self-distribution, which will run without using the launcher:
