Hello from Siberia!

A big fan of game since 90s, when, as a kid, a played TGL on old TV, being hugely impressed by its music, dark and moody atmosphere, labyrinths with mass of stuff, non-linear gameplay, in one word non-typical for nes game elements.

Here, by the way, lies my "arrange" of TGL theme from blue land:

And another my thing, looks a bit in TGL style:

If you are interested, you may also check another last two weeks project: fan-made Castlevania game, a little example video here:

I am currently using Game Maker for it. Suprisingly rather simple and powerful system. With a couple of extensions i have FMOD sound engine, lightning, gamepad support and much more. It's sad i'm incredibly bad artist, because of it i use mostly ripped sprites... You can really use it for TGL sequel.

Welcome Semantic!
So all the graphics in the youtube link is ripped? Finding someone able to draw and with spare time seems to be a worldwide challange!

That's problem not only for fans but for game companies too. Find a good sprite artist is almost impossible, so Castlevania today is a one of last strongholds of pixel-art. Sad, but true.

I just have to point out that's very accurate wording!
