Hello!  I'm a huge TGL fan and a competitive Smash Brothers enthusiast from the United States.  Around six years ago, I created a Guardian Legend fan page on Myspace, which you may have known about.  At the time, all we had were ocremix's "The Wingless" and the TGL shine on shmups.com paying respect to the game.  I've been lurking around on these boards for several years now, trying to find links to eBay auctions that contained the elusive TGL promo items.  Anyway, I figured that it was about time that I created an account!

Fantastic!  Every year, during the winter months, I play through my old-school NES library.  Fester's Quest and The Guardian Legend are always two must-plays.  This year, however, I decided to tack on Zanac and play through Optimon's ROM hack, too.  With how often I tend to check up on this site, I'm sure I'll be around to view the 25-year anniversary festivities.

Hah, hope you're enjoying yourself with Optomon's Rom Hack too (I should get back on it too, if I can get myself unstuck in Area 6...)

We're still gathering ideas on what we should do on the 25th anniversary - i know it's only like 72 hours away.... so far there's a "Quiz" like flash game that is being made, though.

Optimon's hack was fantastic!  I will plead guilty to having used save states, though.  There were several parts that were just too intense!  I had to spam the Enemy Erasers to spawn power-ups.  But, for the strangest reason, I always managed to play better whenever my life gauge was on zero.

I'm not the artsy kind, so I can't draw up a picture or produce a retro-theme chiptune to pay homage to TGL.  I have played, very briefly, through the flash game.  I'm looking forward to whatever else the forumers will come up with.

I am sure everyone who tried Optomon's game used savestate one way or another , it's the only way to survive in that intensity at least... (although it is true that since I am playing for Youtube, i only savestate at certain locations as to not disturb the video due to "missing/duplicated" frames; which is pretty much the reason why i am stuck, really...)

but hey, weapons are collected to be used; so why not have a bit of fun with EEs?

I m not sure there will be anything like real celebration but Teremochek making a fun quiz game with questions about TGL.
Also about music.
Forgive me I m so lazy but I have around 40 covers from average to awesome to upload to music section which is not created yet tho it's ready for.
I will try kick my ass to add music section and a fan comic some guy making.
