Work / Re: Sequel Demo - Flash version

Great work on the demo.  The format looks great, and it looks like you could make a great sequel using that engine.  I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Voting / Re: 2D or 3D?

I would like a 2D sequel.  Don't mess with perfection.  I feel the 3D would totally change the feel of the classic game that everyone loves.

If it had to be 3D then I would want something like the New Super Mario Bros, where the perspective is kept the same as the original game.  I don't want some 3D shooter like Doom.

Hi, gamebalance referred me to this site a while back and I have just gotten around to signing up.  The Guardian Legend is one of my favorite NES games if not my all time favorite NES game.  I loved the Zelda like overworld mixed with the kewl flying stages.  Finding all the great power-ups along with having the score work like exp also greatly added to the fun of this game.

I make maps for NES games and this game was one of the first games I mapped out.  The maps are made from screen shots from the game.  You can view the maps I made for this game at http://www.nesmaps.com

I even have posters available if anyone is interested in having a 24" x 18" map of this overworld to hang up in their gaming room.  The poster can be found at: http://www.nesmaps.com/nesmapsstore.html#TGLMap
