I was making pins, and thought to myself.. OMG the blue lander would be perfect!!!  So I did!  I used some injet shrink paper, printed (although it darkened after baking, not from the heat, but from the compression of colors when it shrink, the pigments kinda squeeze together and become a shade darker)

Still looked pretty nifty.  I glazed it with mod podge and then glued a pin on the back. Have a look see!

Now here's what I'm wondering.  Remember that strategy guide with the Guardian's chibi art on it?  http://www.videogameden.com/omake.htm?fc?gua08?10     I don't know if I'll ever get a hold of this book... I would love to make things with the various caricatures found within.  Does anyone own the book? Might you be willing to scan the various artwork inside?  I was hoping the owner of videogameden would make more scans, but they only put 2 pages :(  Sooooo curious to see inside the book!!!  I emailed them, but they simply never answered..

That's sooooooooo tempting.  I'd get it if I had the funds haha.  :-\  I must ask, do you know if the book contains more artwork of the girl? (Miria) According to the previous pictures, I saw about 3 or 4, but wondering if there are anymore detailed images of her.  If so, how many?

If I bought it, I'd definitely scan it and upload it for the community :)  I'll have to see how business goes after the bills, good etc..

Ahhhh that's awesome!  I dig the website as a "whole".  I definitely want a guide to mushrooms t-shirt.  See, a website like this is what I've been TRYING to do for such a longgggg time...... regarding a bunny and panda (plugs website  http://www.hugclub.net)   but I've been uber lazy... LAZY!!!!  (well uninspired really, sad...)

OH, ummm notice the store section. Need to get permission from nintendo to sell that stuff?  Or so long as it's hand drawn, is it ok?  TGL SHIRTS BABY!!!!!!!!

It used to be in wikipedia, not anymore.  It's still in this one.

perhaps someone goofed :P

I personally liked the diamond area.  Jazzy music.  Oh, was anyone able to find this "generic cave level" that supposedly replaced the biological area in some releases of the game?  I've always been curious if that was true or not.

Well, I was born in 84... so probably too young to remember anything on TV.  Did TGL ever get any kind of advertisement?  Or even in a magazine?  Or did they just stick the game on the shelf hoping kids would buy into the evil eyes on the box?

If not, let's have a contest!  Create the best TGL commercial.  Winner gets a free T-Shirt!  I just a workforce1100 that prints large format shirt transfers.  Got my tax return too, so I'll be buying large 13 x 15 3G jet Opaque Transfers.  My cutter and heat press are rarin' to go!

Here's an old commercial compilation.  I know a lot of them are terrible, so here's your chance to show'em what a commercial SHOULD be!

(Shipping and handling by me, you must pay import tax if required by your country, lol...)  Who votes?  We'll have a poll later!  Post your entries here.  I'll be entering just for fun, no prize for me.

Hmm.. Guess I'll have to design a shirt somehow...

The Guardian Legend / Re: Irem owns TGL

I got my reply.

-----
Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately, we don't have any sequel/redevelopment plan of "The Guardian
Legend " now, but we appreciate your valuable request.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
IREM SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INC.

----

Would anyone here have the guts to ask if they were selling the rights?  If they refuse to sell it, it means one of two things:  They have OCD and want it to collect dust, or they have a hunch that they'll be redeveloping it.   If they do redevelop it, 3DS would be awesome.  I can imagine a hologram type projection on the screen when she transforms. Or maybe 3D models of the weapons and floor plans.  That would make one sick game for true.

Either way, I'm glad you guys are doing something on these boards.  I'd like to really see what you can do with your talents.  Who knows, if they do sell the rights, you'll have the game all ready and set to expose to the world.

I propose the lot of us contact Irem as individuals presenting "interest in the game's sequel or redevelopment".  If I do it alone, I'm sure to get a response like, "We have many projects ahead before we can consider looking into it."

The more of us pressuring Irem to get a game going, the better.  This mass interest may be just the boost they need.  Although I am really looking forward to the forum's own project, one can't help but wonder what commercial based game they could make.  The technology is ready and waiting.

Perhaps maybe a few of us could even send concepts to wet their appetite.  I'm certain we'd need at least 1,000 folks to do it.  Not a typical petition of course, but actual e-mails that go direct to them.  I'm gonna go for it and ask what they plan to do with that license.  (Won't mention anything about this forum though, for our safety)

While wondering who actually had the license to it, I went ahead and contacted all these compile varients.  No response.... hehehehe....

So I took a shot in the dark and contacted Irem.  They replied with this:

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you for contacting us. We have the license of "The Guardian Legend." Thank you very much.

Sincerely,IREM SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INC.

We can still dream and make home brews right? :)
