Another game similar to ours Zaider – Battle of Peguss (超戦士ザイダーバトルオブペガス). You can walk out of the ship and walk in somewhere. I don’t know details. There is no walkthrough around. The game is on MSX 1986. Ability to walk inside buildings seems interesting. I read that weapon(s?) can be upgraded. The terrible scrolling is not in this game only. It is quite common for MSX games back then.
Also on nicovideo I found probably a remix of the title theme. Sounds nice so I adding it.
So a lot of you probably heard of JJJJJJJ password in The Guardian Legend. But there is a problem. You are sent to the Area 8 without the cross key. So you can’t go out.
Today I’ve got an idea. I went to the password generator and inserted the JJJJJJJJJ code. And then I set the cross key check box. So it generated the new password which does the same but with the key! And the main reason I want to share the password is because it has only 2 characters changed. So it’s also very easy one.

[EDIT]well I checked it and – the corridor 9 is completed but there is no key for zone 10. Which means this – even if there was cross key then JJJJ still was not possible to beat.
I came back to the password generator and added the missing key. Which makes it not really the thing which we would want. But, if someone wants:

This one has the bended rectange key.
A guy shared some password. He found it randomly in childhood. This password starts with 2615 chips. But! When you take the red lander the max chips do not increase. He also not sure if the game is possible to finish from this point. It was long ago. He said that it’s probably the one where there is no final boss. Super Clash Bros is another arena fighting game with characters from many retro games. Author claims that he is gonna add over 70 characters to the game. But the game will also have level progress adventure mode. So basically you can pick character and play the game of the other character. Like you take Scorpion from Mortal Kombat and play Sonic The Hedgehog levels.

Hello everyone! Have you ever wanted to play The Guardian Legend sequel or remake? Well, of course you did! And here it is!

This game was made by one guy. He started to work on it in 2010. And he finally finished the game now. The game uses sprites material from many other games. It has kinda mash up content. But it works pretty fine enough. The music is also taken from many other games. The music choices are quite strange however. But that’s author’s taste. The game has all classic weapons and 2 new ones.
Below I will drop you some game screenshots. So you could see what I am talking about.
The game has two languages – English and Russian. So do not be confused that my screenshots are in Russian.

The game was updated to version 2.0. The starting fire rate changed to faster(was very slow before). There is added possibility to teleport between zones. And map now has marks for items and bosses.

Have fun! I completed the game and it was quite enjoyable! If you haven’t played the original game then a short description. This can be described as some specific metroidvania. You walk around the big map collecting weapons and fighting mini bosses and walk inside corridors. When you walk into corridor you transform into starfighter and now you fly and shoot enemies.
Some people wonder. What are some games that are similar to The Guardian Legend? So suddenly I discovered such game. It’s on FDS(Famicom Disc System) and it’s called – Akuu Senki RAIJIN. I would say it’s more similar to predecessor – Guardic. If you did not know The Guardian Legend is actually a sequel to Guardic. It even has a name like “Another Legend of Guardic” in manual. And some Japanese fan arts put ALG on their arts.
As I understood player can can decide to transform between mecha and starship. But it’s possible only on certain platforms. Player can fly in all 4 directions and walk also in 4 directions. So he can’t walk diagonally.
I do not know the details because I just discovered this game. I was browsing youtube for recent The Gaurdian Legend videos and luckily there was video “The Guardian Legend But Worse”. Sometimes people asking what are the games similar to The Guardian Legend? So this might be really interesting as this game is similar to both TGL and Guardic(prequel of TGL).
I would say that the game looks nice. But the gameplay seems not really good. I also think that it would be hard to understand what to do in the game and how to progress. There is no map to help. Maybe there is some helpful manual comes with the disc? Necessary instructions often contained in manuals back then . Music is almost always the same and there is no boss theme when the bosses appear.
However the game doesn’t seem terribly bad. So that’s it, this is the similar game, please welcome – Akuu Senki RAIJIN
A long time ago there was a topic where someone asking what are those things on backpack?
Back then I did not think about that much. And did not tried to find out. So. Recently I opened the Japanese manual and I finally realized. Those things on backpack was another engines/jets! So we all know a pair of engines are inside her boots. But did you know there was another engines over the back? I didn’t and I think many did not realized this. Also you might see some tricks. Like skiping the transform animation by holding select. He dies to get back to some point faster.
The Guardian Legend Legacy stream recently played by some russian guy. If you did not know about that project then you can see what it is. I am not sure if they keep doing it because I am away from russian social network VKontakte.
In that game you can choose your primary weapon and your subweapon. The walking stages are randomly generated. So each time you start a new game it will have different map.
