Not sure if this qualifies

So there is one of our members drew this nice picture. It is TGL inspired. And he says “Not sure if this qualifies” in his forum post.

I don’t really think it is qualifies because it is not really a fan art. Yes it reminds Miria but it is not that type of guardian also. So I probably would not add it to the fan art gallery. But I don’t mind to show it to people. It’s nice picture.

However if you think I should really add this to the gallery then please let me know. What if I am wrong?

And also why not give a shout to other guy. He written me email long ago with his cover art. I am personally not a fan of this type of drawing but maybe someone likes that. He also selling this on eBay. So if you want to have a cover like that then go and buy it.

So yeah. I am still busy with promoting my game Orbox C. And it probably will take few more months. If you want to support me then you can try free version of the game. Orbox C Free. I want to make a video review of Contra: Revenge of The Red Falcon, and Contra Locked ‘N’ Loaded. And because I am too busy I don’t know when I could do that. I already recorded the walkthrough of the Revenge of The Red Falcon. Now I need record some voice review over it.

Revenge of The Red Falcon is modification of the NES Contra. It’s intresting. It’s much harder and levels are longer.

Locked ‘N’ Loaded I think not really modification but builded on some engine. But it’s like modification on Alien Wars. It lacks in graphic quality a bit but it’s OK. I would record some gameplay of it and make review. Basically it’s good 3.5/5 game, so you can give it a go without waiting for me. It’s free game anyway.

Puzzle Game of The Year?

What do I mean by puzzle game of the year? I mean the game I developed together with other guy – Orbox C. But it’s not me who called it that way. BatBeard guy recorded a video with our game and put it into the title.

So I am busy this days with promotion of our game. I am suck at promotion so I contact youtubers and ask them to make a video with our game. Only recently I learned how to find correct youtubers who could agree. BatBeard was one of them.

I sent him a free game key so he could try the game for free. He launched the game on his stream and liked it. He called it high quality, compared with Popcap games(Zuma, Bejeweled, Plants vs Zombies) and admitted very good level design. I am not participated with him anyhow so it is pretty honest opinion.

Personally I could critisize the game enough. But the same time I am pretty sure it is really good puzzle game. One of the best, or maybe the best of this type. And yes it does have great level design because I have a lot of experience with that from Orbox, Orbox B, older Orbox C browser flash version and mobile, and users custom created levels. From all of this I had tons of feedback. That helped to see the game deeper and create really great puzzles in Orbox C on Steam with 210 levels. There should be more levels in future updates and new type of elements. If this game will become a Puzzle game of the year I will be shocked I guess. But also happy, obviously 🙂

The video is pretty long. It is his first reaction on the game. He just took a part of the stream from Twitch and uploaded to youtube. So keep that in mind. It was recorded from the live stream so you can fast forward.

Hey guys. Have you heard about pepsiman? Well I didn’t. Untill yesterday 🙂

As you may know, the Pepsi released an advertisement with Kendall Jenner. And it is pretty ridiculous advertisment. Pretty much like a lot of advertisements out there. It’s just went meme and got lot of laugh at it and funny jokes about giving pepsi to a policeman. So Pewdiepie(a famous youtuber) made a video about it and mentioned Pepsiman there. Jesus christ. I went to watch that commercial with Pepsiman(It’s not the one with Kendall Jenner, it’s some old stuff). Check it out:

I don’t know how about you, but I found it so hilarius! There is a game with that dude on PS1 which I don’t think I want to play. However the theme song from there is really funky! If you like James Bond themes you definatelly should check that out.

You can also find this character in the game Fighting Vipers on Sega Saturn. But don’t bother to see. You don’t need that. It looks like a bad clone of the first Virtua Fighter.

Hi everyone, did you miss me?
did you miss me?

My thoughts were far away for a while. But now is a good reason to write something. I can say this again and again. That we need to bring more modern presentation to the site. How to do that? I have no idea and have no much time to do research. But I hope with time that can be managed. Would be great if some people could help me a little.

So what’s new there around The Guardian Legend? First of all this cover version of the title screen music. It’s a quite nice one. Also author mentions that he likes the game a lot and have nostalgia feeling about it. Which is good as he made this music with more care than just to get attention around retro buzz.

Also the author replied me about the other picture there. He said it was just some doodle drawing from the stream request. So. I guess we will not get this one more than a draft. Which is probably is okay. This is a bit like a parody looking one 🙂

Hey everyone. Today we listen to a very nice Guardian Legend music covers by Troisnyx.

BTW,  sorry, my computer was broken 🙁 That’s why there was no posts.

I don’t know what’s her name. But if you check her account on newgrounds there are plenty of links to her social pages – troisnyx.newgrounds.com

The music covers she made are kinda ambient stuff I’d say. And really good muscial quality! The first one, I guess she singing by herself. And that is very nice and touching. It also sounds very cinematic. Definatelly would fit some cutscene or a game music perfectly. The second one reminds Metroid feeling. It’s a very nice loop that feels calm and a bit creepy same time. If you want to listen to it as a loop you can do it on newgrounds. I’ll give links to both tracks.

Pryapisme – Crazy eclectic music

My friend showed me this band yesterday. Pryapisme – Crazy eclectic music with lot of various genres in every song. But in awesome way.

Warning. To be able to listen to this waves of sound you need to have pretty wide range of genres acceptance. 8bit, Jazz, Techno, Metal and more. They describing their music genre as Rocococore.

The songs are very melodical. And often will remind music from 8bit, 16bit boss battles. That’s why it can be intresting for people who know old games!

The music is intense but produced well, so you wont be abused by the sound. If you are in a mood to listen to something like boss battles music give it a go.

You might heard this The Guardian Legend music cover that I made before. This is good updated version of the older track. It has lot of issues fixed.

Let me tell you a short story behind this. This is a music that I hate in the game. It annoyed me pretty much. But I got idea how the music could progress to sound better. So I extended the melody. And then it become pretty cool positive tune!

I know I should update site’s music section. But have no time for it ATM.

  1. Get hit and throw the ball.
  2. Throw opponent and throw the ball.
  3. Make special move and throw the ball.
