Game similar to The Guardian Legend

Some people wonder. What are some games that are similar to The Guardian Legend? So suddenly I discovered such game. It’s on FDS(Famicom Disc System) and it’s called – Akuu Senki RAIJIN. I would say it’s more similar to predecessor – Guardic. If you did not know The Guardian Legend is actually a sequel to Guardic. It even has a name like “Another Legend of Guardic” in manual. And some Japanese fan arts put ALG on their arts.

As I understood player can can decide to transform between mecha and starship. But it’s possible only on certain platforms. Player can fly in all 4 directions and walk also in 4 directions. So he can’t walk diagonally.

I do not know the details because I just discovered this game. I was browsing youtube for recent The Gaurdian Legend videos and luckily there was video “The Guardian Legend But Worse”. Sometimes people asking what are the games similar to The Guardian Legend? So this might be really interesting as this game is similar to both TGL and Guardic(prequel of TGL).

I would say that the game looks nice. But the gameplay seems not really good. I also think that it would be hard to understand what to do in the game and how to progress. There is no map to help. Maybe there is some helpful manual comes with the disc? Necessary instructions often contained in manuals back then . Music is almost always the same and there is no boss theme when the bosses appear.

However the game doesn’t seem terribly bad. So that’s it, this is the similar game, please welcome – Akuu Senki RAIJIN

A long time ago there was a topic where someone asking what are those things on backpack?

Back then I did not think about that much. And did not tried to find out. So. Recently I opened the Japanese manual and I finally realized. Those things on backpack was another engines/jets! So we all know a pair of engines are inside her boots. But did you know there was another engines over the back? I didn’t and I think many did not realized this. So here is a picture showing exactly those engines:

Hey everybody. I was sent a picture today which I’d call something like – cute girl beats monster. Here is what he said:

“Here is an illustration I finished of one of my favorite video games of all time. I was six years old when I first played, The Guardian Legend. I remember in 1988, when my brother’s friend first bought the video game and unfortunately he forgot to take it home. I played that game every day until eventually beat it. My love for the music, the art, the play, and just about everything about it, I really cherish to this day. It pleases me to share this game with my daughter who is now the same age I was when I first played it. Thanks for having this website and there’s some   talented people in your fan art and I’m glad they appreciate the game just as much as I do.”

The Guardian Legend Legacy stream recently played by some russian guy. If you did not know about that project then you can see what it is. I am not sure if they keep doing it because I am away from russian social network VKontakte.

In that game you can choose your primary weapon and your subweapon. The walking stages are randomly generated. So each time you start a new game it will have different map.

Hey people. So yestarday some guy congratulated me that our game is hidden gem puzzle on PCgamer. I am like what? It’s some algorithm that calculates Steam statistic and decide if some game is a hidden gem.
